Forward Day LLC creates innovative home healthcare products that enable seniors and others with disabilities to overcome physical limitations and reclaim independence in their daily activities.
Our Story
We’re a family business started by a brother and sister team, Russell Simpkins and Alanna Harvey, in Santa Cruz, California.
While working in home healthcare, we noticed that the hardest and most dangerous part of caring for a loved one at home was bathing. It caused a lot of physical strain and stress for both the person in the wheelchair and their caregiver.
At the time, families only had two difficult options:
Pay for a costly and messy bathroom remodel to allow wheelchair access.
Rely on a bed bath because it seemed like the only affordable choice left for bathing their loved ones.
We knew there had to be a better way. That’s why we created Shower Bay.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help seniors and people with disabilities stay safe, protect caregivers from injury, and make independent bathing possible again. Shower Bay gives you the safety of a roll-in shower without the cost or mess of a remodel. You can set it up in any room of the house, and it requires no plumbing changes at all.
